Abstract: (Show)

In this review, Mark Turin surveys several books that aim to teach the Nepali language. He notes the strengths and weaknesses of these materials before focusing on Michael Hutt and Abhi Subedi's Teach Yourself Nepali: A Complete Course in Understanding, Speaking and Writing. Turin commends Teach Yourself Nepali for the lucid yet concise presentation of Nepali grammar and vocabulary. The end of the review provides some useful corrections to the few mistakes in the book.
