Tibetan medicine is a one of the great ancient traditional medical system that is still vividly practised. This medicine uses the rich and original flora of the High Himalaya Mountains. This paper is an extract from a 'm,moire de diplme universitaire de phytoth,rapie' whose purpose was to present the main features of Tibetan medicine and explore its materia medica though a detailed study of some remarkable plants among the important Asteraceae family.
