Abstract:
(Show)
The authors suggest that despite valuable findings on the relationship between spirituality, religion, and health, psychology does not understand the relation of these areas area very well. This article examines how religious and spiritual feelings, motivations, and forms of participation may actually affect health. The authors offer new ways to conceive and measure religious and spiritual orientation aimed at focusing more on how a spiritual orientation is connected to health and wellness.
