In this article, David Loy highlights the presence of the ecological problem: an alienation between oneself and the world they find themselves in. Through examining the foundation of Taoism, Buddhism, and deep ecology, Loy examines the revolution of ethics and social connection, and states how it is necessary to transform the way the relationship between oneself and the earth is understood.
