Abstract: (Show)
Two new iridoid glycosides were isolated from subterranean organs of Phlomoides tuberosa (L.) Moench (Lamiaceae) growing in eastern Siberia and were identified based on UV, MS, and NMR spectral data as 6′-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl lamalbide (phlotuberoside I, 1) and 6′-O-α-D-galactopyranosyl lamalbide (phlotuberoside II, 2) in addition to 16 known compounds. Compound 2 showed greater anti-inflammatory activity in the 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol acetate-induced inflammation model.
