The article discusses Salyan's King Ranabhim Shah. Salyan was one of the states of Baisi Rajya. Salyan and Gorkha enjoyed a friendly relationship for some time, during which Ranabhim Shah wedded the daughter of King Prithvinarayan Shah. However the good relations did not last, and King Ranabhim Shah was stripped of his position as king. (Rajeev Ranjan Singh 2007-01-29)
