Sujatha Baliga presents "Law's Middle Way: Mindfulness and Restorative Justice" at Berkeley Law on Oct. 22, 2012, a Ruth Chance Lecture co-sponsored by the Thelton E. Henderson Center for Social Justice, the Berkeley Initiative for Mindfulness in Law (law.berkeley.edu/mindfulness.htm), and the Restorative Justice Committee. Baliga discusses how a life-changing encounter with the Dalai Lama, and her subsequent meditation practice, led her to build a career bringing victims and perpetrators of crime together to foster a different form of justice, grounded in true accountability, mutual recognition, and healing.
