Abstract: (Show)

The article discusses urban-rural differentials in infant and child mortality in Nepal. The study is based on data from the Nepal fertility survey of 1976. The article comes to the conclusion that infant and child mortality measured as the probability of dying between birth and age one, and the probability of dying between ages one and five, are substantially lower in urban than in rural areas of Nepal.
