The article discusses devi dances in Sankhu, Nepal, which are said to kill demonic forces. The devi dancers are praised for killing demon antagonists, however none of the demon characters are staged in the dance performances in Sankhu. The dance association members say it is because her divine power can really kill the demon character if one is staged. (Rajeev Ranjan Singh 2007-03-01)
