This article looks at the Tibetan tradition of writing on wooden slips. Tibetan documents from the Tu-fan dynasty were preserved in one of three ways: 1) inscriptions on metal and stone, 2) writings on scrolls, and 3) writings on wodden slips. (Mark Premo-Hopkins 2004-07-13)
