The article draws mainly on British colonial sources and covers Sidkeon Namgyal's study in Britain, as well as his travels through North America, Japan, and China. <p>This is a study of the structural elements of Tibetan legal documents. The study is based on a collection of documents dating from the 17th to 20th centuries from southwest Tibet, mainly the areas of Porong (spo rong), Shelkar (shel dkar) and Dingri (ding ri).
