<p>The article discusses the sculptural medium "dry lacquer" in Nepal. It is a preliminary note on this medium which is thought to be a neglected Nepalese sculptural medium. <p>The article discusses a small, two-roofed temple with a square foundation and typical Nepalese or Newar style brick and wood which stands at Saugaltol, Patan in Kathmandu Valley. The article is written with the aim to rectify the date assigned to the temple and to identify and date the remarkable image of Shankar Narayan within.
