This article discusses whether ToM stems from the ability to use language, a tool which allows children to listen to people talking about beliefs and emotions. In addition, language fluency and the ability to pass the false-belief test occurs during the same developmental stage. Findings illustrate that hearing language is important for enhancing communication and understanding others.
